Save Ourselves: Sacramento’s Local Breast Cancer Organization
Since 1991, Save Ourselves, the Breast Cancer Organization of Sacramento, a community-based, nonprofit organization, has been providing support, survivorship, education and advocacy services to women and their families affected by breast cancer. All Save Ourselves services are provided at no cost.
Save Ourselves services include continuous breast cancer support groups meeting twice monthly led by professionally trained counselors in English and Spanish, and a monthly Open Door meeting with guest speakers who address breast cancer health, treatment and support options in a friendly, non-hospital setting.
Our Save Ourselves 24-hour telephone hotline provides a support network for those who are newly diagnosed and would like to speak with trained hotline peer counselors who are breast cancer survivors. Additionally, volunteers provide patient advocacy services in both the clinical and political arenas.
If you are interested in participating in our support groups, need to talk to a person on our breast cancer hotline, or would like information on other services provided by Save Ourselves, please call (800) 422-9747 or (916) 448-5432.
For more information or suggestions for future speakers, please call (916) 786-HOPE or email firstname.lastname@example.org
